Not ready for prime time

12:06 pm

The school board office has issued a revised agenda for tomorrow’s special board meeting, with the start time changed to 5 pm. The meeting, previously scheduled to start at 7, is still scheduled for an hour, and still has the single agenda item of appointing a zone 4 director.

Steve Rawley is the father of two PPS students and is founder and editor of PPS Equity.

The change is so that working parents like me cannot be there to speak out and protest if they make the wrong decision.

  2. Comment from Buzz:

  3. Comment from Steve Rawley:

Bingo, Buzz, I think you nailed it.

If history is a guide, there won’t be any actual deliberation anyway, just once around the horn with everybody’s two cents before a unanimous (or near-unanimous) vote for….

Well, I think you all know who I think they’re going to pick.

  4. Comment from Whitebuffalo:

I can’t believe that this was rammed through like this. Democracy in action?! BAH!
