Schoolhouse Supplies has set up a special account for donations to the Marysville community, who lost their school to a fire yesterday. Donations of cash or supplies are accepted.

KGW is reporting all students and staff were safely evacuated from Marysville K8 school before it was engulfed in flames.

You are invited to attend a special Meeting @ The Community Meeting Room, North (formerly Northeast) Precinct, 449 NE Emerson, July 30th , Thursday, from 2 to 3 PM.
If you are a representative, are working with or serving in the following areas or if you just have an interest in community communication techniques and needs this meeting is for you:
- Community members,
- Private non-profit organizers – coordinators and associates,
- Faith based organizers and associates,
- Business owners and associates.
Purpose: To gather your input regarding how your communities receive Information and how information, in your eyes, should be disseminated.
Particular attention will be taken to discovery of the following:
- Scope of the problem/ issues and current efforts,
- Ways for everyone to get and stay involved,
- How we can better provide information.
This is a great opportunity to make a difference in how our communities see each other, and work together while obtaining necessary information.

The PPS Parent Union is meeting Wednesday, June 24 from 6-8p.m., at 101 SW Main, Alaska Room (seventh floor).

The Beverly Cleary PTA is hosting a school board candidate forum this Thursday, with all six candidates expected to attend (or send a surrogate).
- Thursday, April 2nd, 7:30-8:30 pm
- The Cafetorium, Beverly Cleary School, Fernwood Campus, 1915 NE 33rd Ave.
Childcare will be provided by the PTA on a first-come, first-served basis for a maximum 20 children.

Forwarded from PPS library staff; supporters of PPS libraries and library staff are encouraged to attend! –ed
Staff, administrators, teachers, parents and community are invited to attend a community forum focusing on school libraries. The meeting is scheduled for January 14, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Grant High School Library.
This group will provide input on a district vision to improve and integrate the services provided by and for school libraries. The focus is to increase capacity for information literacy instruction and improving library administrative services.
